Jellaby Jellaby is now a graphic novel, created as a webomic by Kean Soo that follows the discovery of a dragon-like creature christened Jellaby. Jellaby is discovered in the woods by Portia, who wakes up from a nightmare and sees Jellaby walking into the trees. Once Portia figures that Jellaby isn't going to eat her, even though he's really hungry, she decides to take him back to her house for a sandwich. Portia hangs out with Jellaby from then on, and influences her to help Jason, who's getting beat up by other kids older than him. They end up going to the principal's office, and Jason sees Jellaby for the first time. Jellaby hides when Portia's mother arrives, and pops back in the window when Portia and her mother head into the prinicipal's office. Jason offers it a carrot. The art is visually sedate, with only a few colors used with various shades of purple. This similarity makes the presence of Jellaby seem more natural, and lends a dreamy, storytelling quality to the tale. It's a nice little story, check it out.
